Much more than just having fun

Adolescents, especially children, have an unconsumed source of energy within them that they need to discharge. As indicated by World Health Organization (WHO) research, insufficient physical activity is popularly recognized as a key factor that contributes to poor cardiorespiratory fitness1 and excess body weight2. WHO also maintains that inadequate physical activity is an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity. A World Health Organization study found that as many as 81% of adolescents aged 11-17 years were insufficiently physically active in 20163 and thus did not meet WHO recommendations of at least 60 min of physical activity every day.
Published WHO recommendations from a few years ago (2018), clearly indicate the health benefits of regular physical activity for children and adolescents (6 years and above), viz:
Improved cardiorespiratory and muscular performance,
Improving cardiometabolic health,
Improving cognitive functions,
Reducing the risk of depression.

Creativity
It forces you to think about how to nimbly, quickly and smoothly, go through all the mounted obstacles.
Efficiency
Develops gross motor skills which are a priority in a child’s motor development. It is the pillar and the first stage of motor development. Strengthens muscles and builds stamina.
Fun
Having fun helps to boost our creativity, energy, productivity, and overall cognition.
